Our client is a public hospital seeking an occupational therapy superstar who is motivated to help shape their new service.

The role

An expansion of our client’s inpatient physical health rehabilitation services has created exciting new opportunities for skilled allied health clinicians. As a rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, and plan for leaving hospital. You’ll have a voice in shaping this new service, and you’ll have regular supervision and support with continuing professional development.

This role also includes working, supporting and participate within the whole Occupational Therapy Service.

About the team

Our client employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and they are growing their inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%. You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration, and that values the contribution of each team member. The team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards, and we’re happy to support other teams to ensure their success.

About you

You will need to have: -
• Experience in rehabilitation and passion work as an OT within Rehabilitation setting
• Registered with Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand (or eligible for registration) and work within Occupational Therapy board code of conduct
• The ability to provide efficient, effective intervention for community and inpatients client.
• A knowledge/ understanding of funding processes for Enable NZ and ACC (or ability and willingness to learn)
• A commitment to quality service delivery and comply with the privacy act
• An interest in and empathy with elderly and disabled clients
• Motivated to learn, explore, and assist staff and patients during high demand
• Good time management skills
• Eagerness to learn
